A beautiful picture - a meaningful message!

Let's start our blog with a question first, shall we?

So, what is your most favourite picture? And do you think it is beautiful?

Today, I am going to bring you guys a completely new and unique perspective about photography by my own experience and artistic eyes.

Now, let's take a look at this picture down here. This is what I called the masterpiece of meaningful picture.

I know surely your first impression of this picture is so disgusting and messy with tons of plastic waste. But from my perspective, this is more than a picture. This is the art of conveying message.

This picture is taken at Karachi, Pakistan exactly on Earth Day (April, 22 2020).

If we talk about the technical aspect of the photo, this picture that was not taken too sophisticatedly. The photographer has narrowed the aperture quite sharp to capture clearly every corner to the center of the photo so the plastic garbage dump is displayed extremely clear.

Furthermore, this image that was not taken during "golden hour" like sunrise or sunset. The light is not coming from one side, but it is probably the sunlight is shining down on the surface of the image. Therefore, this photo was taken at noon under strong sunlight, making the trash in the photo even more visible to the eye of the viewer.

Besides that, a young boy at the center of the photo, picking up reusable items right above the landfill makes the viewer feel that this is an extremely significant photo contains meaningful message.

With the natural way of shooting, narrowing small aperture technique of the photographer has reveal a painful and alarming issue about the environment. Thinking about the message inside this picture, we all know that Environment problems is alarming and requiring human's immediate actions but sadly few of us take actions in our daily life.

As soon as we see this photo, our first impressions are very dirty, disturbing and uncomfortable. That's because of an excessive amount of trash in the photo. This is also the real problem that our Home is facing. It seems that the author of the photo is trying to give advice for each of us begin to take actions and change our behaviors immediately in order to make a greener and cleaner environment.

It may be not the best scenery picture like Mountains under sunset light or picture of fisherman working in the ocean. But for me, a real masterpiece of photograph is about conveying message and helping people change their perspective and actions. This picture actually did it!
